The flash bang pole “BP6000" and components are all constructed of steel. Weight is 17lbs, length 66". Handles are coated with a poly/resin coating for a good firm grip by the NFDD operator. The top of the pole is powder coated for a long lasting durable finish.
The noise flash diversionary device (NFDD) is place inside the clamp and tightened with the knurled grab handle. The grab handle is protected by a deflection plate which is welded to the shaft. This deflection plate allows the operator less chance of hooking or snagging the handle while pulling the bang pole out from the opening.
The hood assembly is interchangeable/removable due to the variety of NFDD currently on the market. Please specify make, model and diameter of the NFDD body when ordering. Stocked hood assemblies: CTS 7290 (large/small), Def Tech 25 and ALS Technologies. Special clamp and hood assemblies can be manufactured at your agencies request, special pricing may apply.
The stainless steel aircraft cable and snap link are connected to the NFDD pull pin ring. The aircraft cable is protected inside the tube of the BP6000. When deploying, the NFDD operator pulls the spring loaded t-handle located on the rear hand wheel thus allowing ignition of the NFDD.
