Texas facility on lockdown after 2 COs stabbed

WICHITA FALLS, Texas — The Allred Prison in Wichita Falls, Texas, is under lockdown after two corrections officers were repeatedly stabbed by multiple inmates.

According to Texomas, the incident occurred around 4 p.m. yesterday afternoon. A sergeant standing near a doorway monitoring offender traffic was attacked by multiple offenders.

The sergeant suffered 15 stab wounds from two homemade weapons on his front, back and head. When other COs responded to the incident, another was stabbed in the abdomen.

He was treated on the scene, while the sergeant was taken by ambulance to United Regional, where his wounds were declared non-life threatening. He was treated and released after receiving stitches.

The incident is under investigation.
