ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Casey Anthony, the Florida woman who was cleared of killing her daughter, was released from jail on Sunday.

Anthony was escorted by guards as she walked free from the Orange County jail in Florida, where hundreds of protesters had gathered.

Earlier this month, the 25 year old was acquitted of charges including first degree murder and aggravated manslaughter of a child following a sensation trial in Orlando relating to the death of two-year-old daughter Caylee.

Jurors found her guilty of lying to police and sentenced her to four years behind bars. She was released minutes after midnight on Sunday due to time already served in custody.
