BOSTON — One Voice United (OVU) will host its annual Elevating Our Profession Conference and National Medal of Honor Awards Ceremony from May 28 to 30 in Boston, bringing together correctional professionals for discussions on critical industry challenges and a ceremony honoring exceptional service.
The Elevating Our Profession Conference will feature three days of discussions, workshops and best practices focused on staff recruitment and retention, wellness and technology in corrections. The event aims to provide a platform for correctional officers and professional staff to address concerns and share solutions for improving the profession, organizers said.
As part of the event, OVU will present the 2024 National Medal of Honor Awards, which recognize correctional professionals who demonstrate extraordinary courage and dedication in their roles. Award recipients will receive round-trip airfare for two, hotel accommodations for two nights, transportation to and from the event, a Medal of Honor medallion, a facility and individual honoree plaque and commemorative apparel.
