CLEVELAND COUNTY, Okla. — Three people were arrested on allegations they threw bundles of contraband into the Lexington Correctional Facility in Cleveland County.

Saturday, sheriff’s deputies said they were sent to check on a suspicious person near the facility at 15151 State Highway 39 around 7:15 a.m. Three deputies and a K9 found Muskogee resident Jon Adrien Lang, 41, in a creek. Lang told deputies he was released from the correctional facility last week. During a search of a field they also said they found a “black intact bundle and a black empty package.” Prison officials said they also found four silver-colored bundles in the prison’s security fence.

Prison officials told police they saw a vehicle drop Lang off and drive west on SH 39 away from the prison. Deputies stopped that vehicle and took Lang to that traffic stop location to question him further. Lang told authorities he was trying to make money by throwing contraband into the prison. He reportedly said the four silver bundles belonged to him and contained tobacco, a cell phone and a morphine pill.
