LOCKPORT, N.Y. — A Niagara County Correctional Facility Inmate, Raymond R. Brooks, 24, was arrested for falsely accusing a corrections officer of sexual assault.
Sheriff Michael Filicetti announced the arrest after an investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau determined the allegations were false.
“We will continue to thoroughly investigate allegations and if proven false criminal charges will be filed. My officers have a difficult job and should not be subjected to baseless complaints” Filicetti said.
Brooks was charged with one count of Falsely Reporting an Incident 3rd (A-Misdemeanor) and was issued an appearance ticket for Town of Lockport Court.
