PRATTVILLE, Ala. — Authorities say a man wanted for failing to appear in court for a sentencing hearing has been arrested after taunting police in Alabama on Facebook.

Autauga County Sheriff Herbie Johnson tells the Montgomery Advertiser that 24-year-old Marconi Tarantino was arrested Wednesday after authorities surrounded a home he was staying in. Johnson says Tarantino was scheduled to be sentenced on burglary and theft of property charges.

Johnson says Tarantino fled through the home’s back door but was taken down by police dogs and taken into custody.

Tarantino is being held in the Autauga Metro Jail without bond. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
